Olivia Lichty, LSW - School Social Worker & Homeless Liaison
Welcome!
My name is Olivia Lichty and I am the School Social Worker and Homeless Liaison here at Northern Cambria School District! I am shared between the High School, Middle School and Elementary School. My position is new to the district and I continue to learn something new from teachers and students each day.
I grew up in Cambria County and my alma mater is Glendale School District where I graduated in 2013. While in high school I was very involved in the choir and band - at one point, I even wanted to go to college to be a music teacher. After graduation, I went to Saint Francis University as a Physical Therapy Major. While there, I played in the marching band and pep band. Half way through my second year, a little voice told me I needed to change majors, and from there I became a Social Worker. I went on to complete my Masters Degree in Social Work at West Virginia University.
In my free time, you may find me working on my 150 year old farm house, on the lake in my kayak, out in the garden or hunting. My husband and I have been married for 5 years and we have two dogs and two cats.
Though much of my career was spent working with the elderly, I am excited for this fresh start at Northern Cambria! As the School Social Worker, I am able to assist with service coordination, information on community resources and many other things. My goal is to create lasting relationships with students and families in our community.
